Our resident MC is an Edinburgh Fringe veteran having performed, written and produced more than 15 shows since 2014.

 

His trilogy of shows based on geek culture; Action Figure Archive, Action Figure Archive Vol 2 and Steve McLean is Retrosexual made multiple top lists including The Herald and Wired Magazine. In 2023 he toured the east coast of the US and performed to sold out rooms and gained excellent reviews in Tampa, Orlando and Miami. 

 

His latest show is called Aerosmith to ZZ Top and is all about 80s hair rock. It's touring festivals and small theatres in 2025 and can be seen during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Steve is also the host of the West End New Act of the Year Comedy Competition which helps Rural Roars obtain access to some of the best new acts on the circuit.
